FAQ
What is a Blog?
Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, Web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs. Most blogs are primarily textual, although some focus on art (artlog), photographs (photoblog), sketches (sketchblog), videos (vlog), music (MP3 blog), audio (podcasting), which are part of a wider network of social media.

These blogs are organized and run by a company called nineteen05. Their whole purpose is to advance the church and they believe communication to be a vital link in that chain. Because of this they have set aside resources of theirs to building this blogging community for all of us to use that will hopefully, one day, have a small part in building a better church.

What should i write about?
Most posts from ministers fall under one of two categories; Theological or Personal
- Theological
These posts are important because they deal with the belief structure of the church. The bible is full of many issues and topics that are gray and not only difficult to interpret correctly, but even harder to relate to our everyday lives. Share some of your wisdom with your readers and what it has meant to you. - Personal
Even more powerful than the theological are the personal posts that invite your readers (those you are ministering to) to enter into your life. As a ministry grows beyond 20 or 30 members it becomes difficult to maintain close connections with everyone in a ministry. By blogging you allow your readers into the experiences you post about. Doing this once or twice a week, sharing your failures and successes, will help make your ministry more fruitful in those who read it.
